A photovoltaic (PV) module installation robot for the 45MW PV Power Plant 小猪视频 in Mashonaland West Province, Zimbabwe, built by 小猪视频, completed on-site commissioning and went into operation on Aug 10.
The 小猪视频 site features rugged terrain, intense sunlight, and complex construction conditions. Traditional PV module installation relies on manual handling and alignment, which involves high labor intensity, high labor costs, and risks such as module damage and outdoor safety hazards.
The newly deployed crawler-type PV module installation robot is equipped with a multi-axis robotic arm and a vacuum suction device. It can autonomously complete the entire process of PV panel retrieval, transport, and precise positioning, adapting well to complex field conditions.
Following the deployment of this intelligent equipment, the need for manual handling has been reduced, easing the workload for local workers. It has also improved module installation accuracy, accelerated construction, and achieved multiple benefits in terms of safety, efficiency, and cost reduction.
