Blackboard and Canvas are learning management systems that offer a variety of tools and services for students, faculty, and administrators to manage and enhance the learning experience.

As we move from Blackboard to Canvas for our Learning Management System (LMS) services, we will be updating our transition page with the most up to date news, workshops, and answers to your most frequently asked questions.

There are two teams that support Blackboard and Canvas:

  1. Graduate, Online and Professional Studies (GPS) supports fully online courses, graduate courses, and hybrid courses.
  2. Academic Technology supports on-campus and hybrid fall and spring undergraduate courses.

In the drop-downs below, you can find login information, as well as information for students and faculty. You will also find contact information for each in the case you cannot find what you are looking for here.

*For Manning, Zuckerburg, FAHSS, and KCS Faculty only. Students: please refer to MyUML 鈥淢y Classes鈥� to determine if you are taking any courses that are in Canvas. Only students enrolled in courses in Canvas will have access. All other courses will still be in Blackboard.

For Password and MFA Help: please contact the IT Service Desk聽during normal business hours by calling 978-934-4357 and selecting the options for faculty/staff or students. Do not select the option for Blackboard. The Blackboard/Canvas team cannot help with login issues. Be prepared to show a government-issued or UML ID and attend a Zoom session.
